Thanks for bringing us this episode, Dan. Are you going to update the podcast with the Civ6 theme from now on, like you did with this episode?
You’re welcome re: episode. The use of the CivVI theme here was part of the celebration of the game’s release.
We received a related inquiry for, and responded to, on last year’s Christmas Special. The short answer then was no and in elaboration, if we were looking at adding a new segment — or fundamentally changing an existing one — then we would entertain the idea. Related to that, the one piece of CivV music that made its way onto the show after that game was released was what became the second version of the PolyCast closing theme… and that was done to differentiate it from ModCast which used the first version too. (I decided to change PC’s, even though it was used on it first as it came first.)
As it stands, the answer remains the same and with regard to CivVI as well. Changing themes to incorporate pieces of its music onto PolyCast is not being considered at the present time, but not ruled out in the future either.
