Firaxis is reopening the Feature Workshop so players can playtest Arc of Tomorrow and Earthrise early. Steam owners can apply by September 29; Round 1 invites are expected in October.
Firaxis has detailed Civilization VII’s upcoming True Start Location Earth map: a Huge, hand-crafted world map with historical starts, navigable rivers, hand-placed resources, and random Natural Wonders. It arrives in free Update 1.5.0 during the week of September 14.

Firaxis announced Arc of Tomorrow, a major free update that adds a fourth Age spanning the 1950s through the 2050s — new civs, leaders (including Gandhi), and systems. Coming 2027.
