We recently celebrated Civilization1 & Civilization2 ‘s anniversaries at CivFanatics and since time flies when you’re having fun playing Civ, it’s now Sid Meier’s Civilization III ‘s 25th Anniversary so it’s time to celebrate again! Civ3 was the result of Jeff Briggs and Soren Johnson channeling Firaxis’ collective mastery to reinvent the franchise, introducing culture and national borders to turn Civilization from an addictive strategy game into an intricate simulation of living history that conquered a whole new generation of players, many of which still love the game today! Similar to our previous big MoM, SMAC, CtP, Col, Civ1&2 anniversary celebrations we’ve put together a huge thread talking all things Civilization 3 and take a look at what’s been going on in the Civ3 fan communities over the last few years covering fan mods, scenarios, extensions, the OpenCiv3 rebuild, communities, videos & more! So pour yourself a cup of coffee/tea, sit back and enjoy the big read in our huge celebration thread here! And feel free to share your own Civ3 memories in the thread or comments below… 🙂
