Civilization II Cheats

Control Opponent City

While playing a game, press V, move diagonally into an opponent’s city, and press [Enter]. Then, the city’s productivity may be altered or units disbanded.

Cheat Codes

While playing a game, enter any of the following codes to activate each cheat:

Rules Change

In the Civilization II folder, open file "RULES.TXT", you will be able to modify the rules of the game.

Throne Room

While in cheat mode hold CTRL and press v to edit throne room!

Roads and Railroads on Ocean Squares

You can build roads and railroads on the ocean. Get a settler or and engineer into a vessel, go to the position in which you would like to build the road or railroad. Press R. You will gain the benefits of having roads and railroads on the ocean of extra trade.

Extra Money

Enter "_CasH" as a town name while holding R1 when entering the capital H.
