Introduction
Civilization VII is the seventh iteration of the Civilization series, and will be available on February 11, 2025.
It was officially announced on June 7th, 2024 at the Summer Game Fest. Prior to that, it had been announced on February 17, 2023 that the next iteration of the Civilization series was in development.

August 20th Gameplay Reveal – 1:30 PM Pacific
On August 20th, 2024, Firaxis will show the first gameplay showcase of Civilization VII. Join us in this thread to share the anticipation!
While this promises to be the main event, there are several Civ-related dates and times in August:
- Gamescom Opening Night Live Civilization VII Gameplay Reveal Trailer – August 20 at Twitch.tv/gamescom at 11:00 AM PT / 8:00 PM CEST
- Civilization VII Gameplay Showcase, featuring over 20+ minutes of gameplay details – August 20 at Twitch.tv/FiraxisGames at 1:30 PM PT / 10:30 PM CEST
- Visit the Civilization VII booth at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, in Hall 6 – August 21-25
- Civilization VII Developer Panel w/ Kinda Funny Games’ Greg Miller at PAX West in Seattle, Washington – August 31 at Twitch.tv/PAX at 11:00 AM PT / 8:00PM CEST. Firaxians included are:
