By | August 10, 2021

Despite that Civ2 is in the meantime a near-ancient game, our user pi-r8 still put in the work to produce a new “Let’s Play” for it on Youtube. He has recently finished it, and you can watch it here:

Expanded forums for “Old World” and “Humankind”

By | August 10, 2021

Since there are two recent/upcoming games, which are of interest for the civ-fanatics community, we have decided to expand their forums. We have given sub-categories to both the Old World and Humankind forum, to allow a better organization of tech support, modding, strategy guides and and everything else what we desire for these games.

Mashable: 8 great songs from video games that aren’t instrumentals

By | August 8, 2021

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra notifed Christoper Tin about this article on Mashable, about the best songs from video games, which aren’t instrumentals. Obviously our beloved Civ4 song “Baba Yetu” made it in the list. While we are not surprised, since it won as the first song from a computer game a Grammy, we are still happy that this song gets all the love it deserves.

Check out also the other songs in the article, and vote in our forum which song is best after “Baba Yetu”.

Old mods still going strong!

By | August 8, 2021

The users of CFC are our best asset. Not only do we get great strategy guides, mods and overall discussions, but sometimes we also get some rare art pieces. A new user, AppTitan, has recently joined, and brought this picture (and some sketches) with him, for the Fall from Heaven II modmod of MagisterCultuum.

Check the mod out here: https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/magistermodmod.455111/
