To most people’s dismay, it has been revealed that Civ7 will be using the much hated Denuvo DRM solution. For more information please check this thread.
While mechanics and graphics are important, also the sound of a Civ game are not unimportant either, which we know at least since Christopher Tin won a grammy for the Civ4 theme song. And everyone loved Leonard Nimoy for the tech quotes too.
For Civ7, we get Gwendoline Christie from Game Of Thrones, which has been welcome by the community so far (see thread).
For the Civ7 theme song we get again a composition from Christopher Tin, although we don’t know anything else (see thread).
It also seems that for a big part of the Civ7 soundtrack Geoff Knorr will be again responsible, who made some excellent pieces for Civ5 and Civ6. He is the lead composer and producer, as he confirmed to our member Guandao (see thread).
A part of the Civ dev team (Ed Beach, Dennis Shirk, Jason Johnson as well as regular forum resident Andrew Johnson) will be part of the Civ7 developer panel during this year’s PAX West, on Saturday at 11 AM Pacific time (2 PM Eastern time, 8 PM CET).
