IGN has published a video, previewing the new and upcoming 4X game “Star Trek: Infinite” by Paradox games. The comment favourably on the trek-like atmosphere, but critize some of the aspects which are common to all the Paradox games.

Civ6-streamer and history student paisley_trees has made a video about one of the Civ6 relics, the tooth of the prophet. They explain that this relic is about the teeth of the prophet Muhammad, and how they ended up in the Topkapi palace in Istanbul.

As part of the CivTember celebration, Firaxis will have live streams with some of the best Civ6 streamers out there. This week on Thursday September 14 (10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST), the streamers OnSpotTV, Lumba3go, TheGameMechanic, whiteandnerdytv will be playing as Magnificence Catherine, Eleanor of Aquitaine, Ramses, Qin Shi Huang (Mandate of Heaven), respectively, and we’re looking forward to an interesting game. The Value Foundation, a foundation dealing with history, video games, and education, will with the start of the new academic year also start their streaming sessions again. Last year they focused on Civilization 2, but will this time tackle Civilization 6.

Amplitude has released the latest DLC for Humankind, the “Cultures of Oceania” DLC. The new DLC comes packed with interesting content. The description from the Steam page:
“The HUMANKIND™ Cultures of Oceania DLC includes:
– 6 New Cultures
– 6 New Wonders
– 7 Independent Peoples
– 15 Narrative Events
– New in-game themed music tracks composed by Arnaud Roy”

GamingOnLinux has published an article called “Sid Meier’s Alpha Centauri gets an in-development open source remake“. This article is about an ongoing remake of Alpha Centauri, you can also follow its development here in our forum. The short article simply highlights that the project exists, and that many steps are still to be completed. Right now the game engine manages to show the interface and maps can be generated, but the project is not yet too close to being playable. If you read the thread you can see though that there has been constant development, and we are excited to see the future of this project!
Mohawk Games, the developers of Old World, have released the latest update for their game. This update allows the player to set the amount of city sites per map, provides more modding features and Ai improvements.
