The CivGive2022 raises $38000 for sick children!

Yesterday the most important Civ6 stream of the year happened: The CivGive2022. 12 well-known Civ6 streamers battled for domination, to raise money for the GamersOutreach foundation, which helps sick children in hospital with computer games. The stream was won by the team of Lege and Whitney Meers, and the whole team of 12 managed to raise more than $38000.

Tomorrow December 11: The CivGive 2022, a Civ6 charity stream

The CivGive is a charity event, organized by various Streamers around TheCivShow.
Last year the team managed to raise $42 000 for extralife, and $25 000 were matched by 2K Games.
This year the team will be aiming at $75 000 in total, to contribute to GamesOutreach.org, which helps hospitalized children through games to make ther life in the hospital a bit better.
The Civ6 multiplayer live stream for the event and surrounding activities will happen on December 11, 1 PM Eastern Time.

Play the new Civ6 “Game Of The Month”

We start the month of December with a special game for Civ6: The Krampus game. You play Frederick of Germany on deity level on a standard-size … crazy map. With all game modes (besides barbarian clans) on. You need to go for a science victory, and you have until January 14 to finish this game.

Civilization 6 Leader Pass Pack 2: Great Commanders

Firaxis has officially announced the 2nd pack for the Leader Pass: The Great Commanders. This pack includes Nader Shah of Persia, Tokugawa of Japan and Suleiman the Magnificent of the Ottoman Empire. This pack will be released on December 15 2022.

TurnBasedFest: Celebrating turn-based video games (Dec 8-12)

On December 8 to 12 the TurnBasedFest will be happening: A showcase of turn-based games of all kinds (strategy, RPG and others). Various developers and other content-creators will be around, showing their games, of which more than 300 will be featured. A steam sale for many of the featured games will be happening at the same time.

So if you don’t know what to buy yet for Christmas, or you want to have a look beyond Civilization (not sure why you would do that though), then this is again the time!

Play the new Civilization 6 “Game Of The Month” #148

The first Civ6 GOTM after the “Leader Pass” release directly gives you a challenge with one of the new leaders! This time you play as Saladin of Arabia on a standard size hot and wet wetlands map on King level. You need to go for a science victory, while preventing all other civs from achieving any type of victory.

You have until January 1 to strive for scientific hegemony.
