For over 25 years, CivFanatics has been the home of the Civilization community – across all seven mainline games, countless mods, thousands of Games of the Month, and millions of forum posts. Keeping it all online and free takes real work, and today we’re adding a new way to help sustain it: sponsorships.
We’re opening a small number of curated sponsor spots in the sidebar of the main site. Here’s what that means:
- A few hand-picked partners only. No wall of banners, no pop-ups, no auto-playing video. We vet every advertiser and only run ads relevant to you – strategy games and the studios behind them.
- Sponsors get a permanent home on our new Partners page, with a link to their game – a thank-you that lasts beyond their campaign.
- Fewer ads, not more. This program replaces programmatic ads – it doesn’t add them. The moment our first sponsor goes live, the programmatic ad banner in the sidebar disappears. The more spots that fill, the cleaner and faster the site gets.
