Civ7 news of the day: The Inca, Pachacuti, and leader attributes
Firaxis has given us a few more interesting pieces of information today.
The revealed the Inca, which are an economic and expansionist civ with a starting bias for mountains, deserts, plains and coast. They can work mountain tiles, build famrs on rough pieces of land next to mountains, and their scout can see through mountains. And obviously they get Machu Pikchu as their associated wonder. For more info check this thread.
You might want to play this civ with Pachacuti, one of the Inca’s best known leader. He is also economic and expansionist leader with a starting bias for mountains. He likes and dislikes other leaders based on the number of mountains they have, and his buildings get food boni next to mountains. For more info please check this thread.
Firaxis has also released a small videos about leaders, and how you develop them with new abilities. Check it out here.
Millennia: Atomic Ambitions now available
The new DLC “Atomic Ambitions” for Millennia is now available.
It adds an atomic age, as an alternative age similar to the Fallout settings, and also a wasteland age, which is a postapocalyptic age.
Oh, and there are nukes.
The DLC is currently available for 19.99 on Steam, and you can discuss it with us here.
Paradox recently also released another dev diary about this DLC, please see here.
Civ VI Monthly Challenge: King of the Wonder
Firaxis has released the next Civ6 Challenge of the Month! It is called King of the Wonder, but if you wonder if you need to build lots of wonders, then you might wonder wrongly! In this game you play as Theodore Roosevelt of America, and you must defend the Bermuda Triangle. The game has standard settings (besides the map, which is custom), and can be played on Prince of Emperor level. Check our thread here for the discussion.
New Civ7 game guide: Ming China
We got another Civ7 game guide today from Firaxis, this time it is Ming China. The Ming are an economic and scientific civ with a starting bias for coast and silk. They get more gold in the capital, another version of the great wall also giving more gold, and their UU is a merchant which will, as you can guess, also give more gold. For more information about this civ, and if you want to know how Yongle is this time featured, check out this thread.
Amplitude Goes Independent
Amplitude, the studio behind Humankind, has announced last weekend that they will become an independent studio, not anymore affiliated with SEGA. The owners apparently bought the company back, and will probably be looking for another interesting project. Join us to discuss this here.
