Amplitude has today announced the development of Endless Legend 2!
Like the first game, also the second part is a turn-based fantasy 4X game.
You can again choose from diverse fantasy folks to conquer the Endless universe and fight ancient evil gods.
It seems an insider program will also be available, for people who want to playtest and have early looks.
Also noteworthy is that after Amplitude’s departure from SEGA, this new Endless title will be published by Hooded Horse, who have also published Old World.
For all the current info please have a look at the Steam page here, and discuss it with us here.

New civ game guide: Buganda
Today Firaxis has released the next game guide, this time for Buganda.
Buganda is a cultural and expansionist civ with a starting bias for tropical and lake tiles. Nearly all of their attributes, civic trees, unique units and wonder give boni from either lakes or from pillaging. Do you want to know more details? Then check out our thread here.
New indie game release: Yield! Fall Of Rome
Today another interesting indie game has been released (into early release): “Yield! Fall Of Rome“.
As many games in this forum, also this is a turn-based 4X game set on a hex field.
It covers a time era which is not that common in 4X games, but still very interesting: The time after the fall of Rome.
In this game you play one out of 8 factions (like Persians or Franks) who are invading (or befriending) the Roman Empire after the year 0 AD.
You start with a single settler, and need to research technologies to build up a might army. You win by fulfilling different conditions, like having the most cities, comparable to the game Ozymandias.
Yield! is in general a rather fast paced game which can be won in less than 20 turns, but will for sure evoke the “1 more turn” feeling. It also has a particularly interesting art style, which is very well worth looking at.
If you want to buy this early release, Yield! Fall Of Rome is currently available for 17.99 instead of 19.99 on Steam here. And obviously you can discuss this game with us in the forum here.

Spillhistorie.no: Q&A with: Michael Haire, former artistic director at MicroProse

The Norwegian website Spillhistorie.no, a retrogaming website, has interviewed Michael Haire, the former artistic director of Microprose, who worked on Civ1+2 and Alpha Centauri, among other titles. In this interview he describes how Microprose started up, that an art department for Civ1 was a big leap in these old computer game days, and that MicroProse being bought by a competitor lead to the formation of Firaxis. You can read the interview here, and discuss it with us here.
Civ7 news of the day: Great People, and Prussia confirmed (?)
With the latest video Firaxis has added some explanation how great people work. They are unique to your civ, and must be unlocked by buildings. They also must be built, but will at the end give some pretty significant boni. Join us for the discussion about the video here.
Our forum denizens have also noted that Prussia seems to be in the game, based on this video, but also due to one of the recent new videos by the streamers. This is discussed here.
